WHAT:               Michigan SMG is an educational simulation teaching economics, personal finance, saving, investing, stock markets, the American economic system, and the global economy.  The program is offered twice during the school year, fall and spring.  Students are responsible for developing and managing hypothetical investment portfolios.  Visit www.smgww.org for more information.

WHO:                 Students in grades 5-12; Over 750,000 Michigan students have participated since the beginning of the program in 1980.

HOW:                 Students participate in teams of 1-5 students, learning group dynamics and group decision-making skills as well as the basics of investing.
