KidsEcon Posters is a joint curriculum project of the Michigan Council on Economic Education and Indiana Council on Economic Education. The goal of the project is to help K-8 students understand the exciting economic world around them- making them more effective producers, consumers, savers, investors, and voting citizens. Each poster concept is linked to the appropriate National Content Standard in Economics. In addition the illustrated economic concepts are correlated to the Michigan Social Studies Standards & Benchmarks, Strand IV Economic Perspective. For each poster there is a Teacher's Guide, which includes a more detailed explanation of the concept, teaching ideas, and a list of several children's literature books that teach the concept.
