Stock Purchasing Ledgers Directions
- Future Stock Possibilites – This is for making a list of companies that the team is interested in buying from.
- Researching a Company – Students use this page to write down reasons for buying individual stocks. They can compute how much stock will cost if purchased, then they will use this worksheet to gain background information that will help them decide on whether or not to buy. If students are working in groups, they can vote to buy after discussion.
- Student Portfolio – This is the portfolio ledger. It is used to track pertinent information such as: shares bought, total cost of stock, 52 week high and low (sell at low), bottom price for which to sell, and a top price for selling (sell at high).
- Stock Purchase Follow-Up – This page is for tracking the price of each stock bought. Students write down Company symbol (sym). Each week students will update the price of each share.
- Single Stock Graph – Used for graphing each company’s stock over a period of time. It is done after updating Stock Purchase Follow-up. I usually start on week three of the stock mar
- Portfolio Gains And Losses – Students (or groups of students) can use this for keeping track of the value of their portfolio.
